Justin Faye, MD, ABPRM
Justin Faye, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified pain management specialist committed to helping patients regain their quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care. With a deep respect for the unique challenges pain presents, Dr. Faye brings compassion, advanced training, and a thoughtful approach to every patient interaction.
From the beginning of his medical journey, Dr. Faye was drawn to pain medicine because of its life-changing impact. “Pain can rob someone of their independence, their joy, and their identity,” he explains. “Being able to step in, understand what’s really going on, and offer a solution—that’s why I do what I do.”
He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He later pursued a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at One Brooklyn Health System in New York, where he graduated with distinction in Pain Medicine. Dr. Faye further honed his skills through a Pain Medicine Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he trained under leaders in interventional and non-interventional pain care.
Now practicing independently in McAllen, Texas, Dr. Faye provides care that blends the best of advanced medical science with a high-touch, patient-first philosophy. He specializes in the treatment of a wide range of conditions including neck and back pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, migraines, complex regional pain syndrome, and post-surgical or post-stroke pain. His treatment plans may include advanced procedures such as spinal cord stimulation, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation—alongside physical therapy coordination and medication management when appropriate.
What makes Dr. Faye’s approach stand out is his commitment to truly understanding his patients—not just where they hurt, but how the pain is affecting their day-to-day life. “Pain doesn’t just exist in a vacuum. It interferes with sleep, with work, with relationships,” he says. “That’s why I take a full-picture view of care. We talk. We build a plan together. And we adjust it based on real-life feedback.”
Patients often describe him as attentive, clear, and thorough. He’s known for making complex procedures easy to understand and for giving his full attention in every appointment. His clinic was designed to offer a more personalized experience—with shorter wait times, easy scheduling, and direct access to a specialist who truly listens.
Dr. Faye welcomes patients of all ages, from children to older adults. His office is currently credentialed with Medicare, and the credentialing process is underway for additional insurance plans. For the most up-to-date list of accepted insurance, please call oru office directly. Next-day appointments are available, and virtual visits are offered for added flexibility.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Faye enjoys spending quality time outdoors and staying active in his community. He has a passion for fishing, ranching, grilling, and traveling whenever he can find time away from his busy practice. A dedicated family man, he also loves coaching little league basketball, where he combines his love of sports with mentoring young athletes. These hobbies allow Dr. Faye to stay grounded, recharge, and bring the same energy and dedication back to his patients every day.
For Dr. Faye, the goal is always the same: to reduce pain, restore function, and help people return to the life they love.
